The Leacocks Home Source’s decision in 2006 to enter into the retail of hardware, homecare and farm and garden products and services was a result of management’s decision to get closer to the end consumers in the industry with the view of understanding and servicing the needs more effectively. The Leacocks Home Source operates its retail operation on a 10,000 sq ft store area located at Webster's Industrial Park, Wildey, and St Michael, an accessible and convenient out of town location with a large parking lot area.
The Leacocks Home Source client base includes homeowners, hoteliers, building contractors and product specifies such as architects. The Leacocks Home Source is managed by DGL Building Materials Solutions Inc, located at Lower Estate St Michael, from where the wholesale of building supplies and agency sales transactions for the Caribbean islands are executed. Management of DGL has over 20 years experience in the construction industry as suppliers to projects such as the Sandy Lane Hotel, Royal Westmoreland Golf and Country Club Villas, Crane Beach Hotel, and the Four Seasons Hotel and Villa Project.
The Leacocks Home Source offers careers to committed and loyal individuals in the areas of sales, marketing, administration and accounting in a fully automotive electronic environment. The Leacocks Home Source recognizes the importance of being a good corporate citizen and as such grants special price discount offers to the elderly on the island over the age of 50, through the Barbados Association of Retired Persons organization. The Leacocks Home Source also donates to several churches on the island and the owners. The Leacocks Home Source is actively seeking new suppliers, distribution and joint venture arrangements p ursuant to expanding the product diversity for the customers.
