The University Bookshop, commonly referred to as simply "The Bookshop" is centrally located within the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus. Owned and operated by the University, the Bookshop is a resource center for students, staff and the general public.
The University Bookshop specializes in the sale of academic and scholarly material. We offer required reading material for courses as well as general reading material, which may assist knowledge gain in a particular area of study. We also offer light reading material such as novels and magazines.
The University Bookshop is more than the average book store. We have embarked on a project geared towards increasing our range of products and services to better serve our valued customers. Recognizing the increasing significance of technology in study, we have expanded our repertoire to include laptops, printers, speakers and flash drives among other computer-related accessories. Our portfolio of products also includes mobile phones and accessories, stationery, greeting cards and campus-branded memorabilia.
Our increasing range of services includes photo-copying, special ordering and the reservation of academic books. We facilitate a Buy-Back programme at the end the second semester, offering students the opportunity to resell academic books to the store.
