Williams Equipment Ltd was founded in 1997 with a focus on selling light construction equipment. Within a year Williams Equipment Ltd branched into equipment rentals which developed alongside the sales division to encompass a comprehensive range of construction. Williams Equipment fundamentally did business in two important ways. First, the company pioneered the rental of equipment, which previously had to be purchased. Second, Williams opened branch offices in smaller towns such as Tupelo, Mississippi, and Jackson, Tennessee--places which considered too small for a specialty contractor supply business. In 2006 the business acquired a local competitor and in so doing added a full range of aerial access equipment, lighting and power generation equipment to their range and has since then developed a sound reputation in the entertainment industry with this added service. In 2008 a branch of the Company was started on the neighboring island of St. Lucia and in 2009 a second branch at Six Roads in Barbados was opened. Williams Equipment employs over 50 people and offers an island wide delivery service for all the rental and sales equipment.
